Hi I am Amelia. I am seventeen years old, and I joined Vale of York Athletic Community at the start of 2023.

I have always been passionate about sport from a young age. I have participated in ballet since the age of three and joined Selby Hockey team when I was in secondary school. Even though I didn’t start athletics until I was fourteen, I’ve always been enthusiastic about the sport and represented my school in lots of competitions.

Immediately after I joined Vale of York, I started competing in the West Yorkshire League, which I have really enjoyed. I compete in sprinting and throwing events and feel I have progressed well over the months. I also started coaching the younger athletes in Funetics which has been rewarding and a great learning experience.
